Hosted Fly Fishing Travel

What "Hosted" Means

Many fly fishing companies sell trips. We accompany you. When you book with Wood Valley Travel, a guide joins you. We manage logistics, flights, transfers, lodging, fishing schedules, gear. Once there, we guide and assist you. You fish and enjoy while we ensure everything runs smoothly. For new anglers, this eases trip planning. For seasoned travelers, it enhances trips and group dynamics.

Annual Hosted Weeks

We host the same trips every year. Dates lock in early — usually 6 to 12 months out — and spots fill fast. If a trip below is on your list, reach out early to reserve your week.

Ascension Bay, Mexico

Kay Fly Fishing Lodge

Permit, tarpon, bonefish, and snook on the same flats, with a real shot at the saltwater Super Slam in a single day. Your guides are Punta Allen locals who’ve run these flats for Grand Slam Lodge for years, pick the fish you want to chase and they’ll put you on it, or go for all four. Beachfront lodging and local cooking between sessions on the water.

Target species: Permit, tarpon, bonefish, snook

Season: Year-round (except early October)

Trip lengths: 4 nights / 3 days up to 7 nights / 6 days

Grand Bahama Island

East End Lodge

Carter caught his first brook trout at 10 in Virginia. Since then, he’s chased trout. Now, he’s our versatile float guide on rivers and streams in southwest Virginia. He’s skilled at reading water and teaching new anglers.

With years of experience, you’re in good hands with him — plus, he makes a great lunch. When not guiding, he enjoys chasing turkey and deer, sharing those experiences with others.
